My parents moved to Park Point when I was 11 months old. I married a Park Pointer, December 21, 1978. We purchased a home 8 blocks from my family home. I met "Jerry" at the All Central Reunion in 1971.He was living in Florida but wanted to get back to Duluth. We were married 27 years. We did a lot of traveling throughout the United States, in our Motor Home. One of the most interesting trips was following the St. Lawrence Seaway, to see how the ships get from the ocean to the Port of Duluth. We were to all 4 corners of the US. When we were not traveling we spent time remodeling our home.

In the early 1990's we found out Jerry had Parkinson. May of 2000, I realized he needed 24 hour care. I decided against the doctor's recommendation to put him in a nursing home. I wanted to keep him where he was the happiest. I thought my name was "Caregiver"! I became a Widow, December 25, 2005.

I never dreamed my life would change in such a positive way. Don came into my life 9 years ago. We took our relationship slow and our love for each other has grown and grown. He taught me to Swing Dance. I still have 2 left feet but love dancing. Even if we do live on the Bayside of Park Point, we love going to Church Camp, on Lake Elora near Cotton. Beautiful North woods. Our 2 cats Molly and Mikey are special members of our family.

I serve on several planning committees, which I enjoy. I was on several of our class reunion committees. Also, Gardening Clubs, Art Fair, to name a few. I was chair of the Park Point Rummage Sale for about 30 years. I worked at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center until my husband got sick. I enjoyed my job so much. I have been an Election Judge for 44 years.

I Welcome Classmates to stop by for a visit. I sincerely mean that. Our sunroom has a spectacular view of the harbor.
