I'm retired after 28 years of working in the Radiation Oncology Dept. in Duluth. I now live in a suburb of Mpls called Rogers. Keeping with my love for dancing, I joined a "Senior Tap Group" called the Satin Dolls. We perform once a week at Nursing Homes or Senior Assistant Apartments. We love the Mpls/St Paul area because of the mecca of theatre and performing arts. We enjoy the Broadway musicals and dinner theatre available. I'm blessed to have my 92 year old mother still with me, and my sister and I share the care for her. I have two sons. Scott lives in Mpls and Mark resides in Las Vegas. He went to UNLV and said he just couldn't come back to the snow and cold in Minnesota. We live in a one level Quad home, and have become very close with all our neighbors. Potluck supper and game nights are just one of our fun activities. My husband, Roger and I never took a road trip until we retired, so now we try to plan a week every year in seeing the great country we live in.
I ran across this quote and thought it was so appropriate for all of us at this season of our lives; "The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money.or the most awards. They simply are the ones who "care" the most."
