Here we are at 74 years young. My husband Ron retired in 2002 and I retired in 2003. Ron from teaching and me from Accounting for Architectural firms. In 2003 we took to the road RVing in our 36-foot motorhome. Both of our daughters lived in the Portland, Oregon area so we spent Sept; Dec there. Then we headed south to CA, AZ, TX and points in between from Jan ; Apr. Then back to MN May &; Aug. In 2005 we sold our home in MN and bought a cottage on a river in Vernonia, Oregon where Ron could hunt Elk just across the river from home. We RV;d for 14 years. In 2016 we sold our RV and cottage, bought a 4-acre farm in Molalla, Oregon. Raised goats, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats and horses. I loved having horses again. In 2021 we sold our farm, moved to Oregon City with just under an acre to care for and celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. We love our new home which is just 10 minutes from our youngest daughter. She;s 43, married and loves backpacking, climbing (Mt Hood summit), camping and traveling. Our oldest daughter is 45 and married. She lives in Tacoma, WA, 2 ; hours from us. She;s a biologist with the WA Dept of Fish and Game. She also enjoys camping, climbing, and backpacking (15-day pack around Rainier off the Wonderland Trail). We are so proud of our girls. No grandchildren yet but we keep busy with family, friends, gardening and Travel.
